Question: What is an ‘initial movement assessment’? Answer: Initial movement assessments are a functional tool that can be used to diagnose any musculoskeletal dysfunctions when performing basic movement patterns. Completing a movement assessment will help to tailor your fitness program specifically to your needs, prevent injury and to also provide specific warmups, stretches and mobility routines to improve movement patterns where necessary.

Question: What is involved in a fortnightly check in? Answer: YYour fortnightly check-ins will be via the Trainerize app. Here you will be able to upload progress pictures, girth measurements and scale weight so that we can check you are progressing toward your goal and make changes where necessary. Check ins will also include a reflection survey about how you have felt, performed and your goals over the two-week period.

Question: What are Kcal and Macro’s? Answer: Kilocalories (Kcal or Kj) are a unit of measurement to describe the total energy content of a particular food or meal. This overall measurement is crucial in achieving goals and fuelling our bodies properly. Macronutrients (macros) are comprised of carbohydrates, fats and proteins and are the nutrients our bodies require in the largest amounts. These macronutrients are required in specific amounts to optimise the bodies performance and longevity, to maintain our bodily structures and systems.

Question: What is the training app, and what will it cost me? Answer: The training app is called Trainerize and it will essentially be like having your coach on you at all times! Using the app you will have access to your personalised training program, meal plans and real time communication. The app also provides education and support In the form of exercise demonstrations which are at the touch of a fingertip! The app helps to track your workouts, view results, and provide feedback on your training sessions! The best bit? Is all included in your subscription payment!

Question: Can I have an additional check in’s or in-depth meal plans? Answer: Absolutely! Balanced Bod aims to provide each client with an experience and support, however they feel necessary. Please reach out if you feel you require additional support and information, however this will come at an additional cost to your subscription.

Qustion: What’s involved in a 1 on 1 coaching call? Answer: 1 on 1 coaching calls are made available through a booking system. These calls are a fantastic opportunity to have a real-time discussion with your coach, whereby you can bring to the session anything you’d like. This may include training questions or technique check ins, meal inspiration and questions, general health & well-being advice… the list goes on! Our 1 on 1 calls may be over the phone, or via video call!
